Sharjah Performing Arts Academy (SPAA) proudly celebrates the literary achievement of Ikram Zgolli, a Year 1 student on the MFA Directing pathway, on the publication of her first book, The Character of Antigone Between Sophocles and Bertolt Brecht: Origins and Transformations (شخصية أنتيغون بين سوفوكليس وبرتولت بريشت: النشأة والتحولات).
The book, published by Dar Zainab for Publishing and Distribution, explores the evolution of the iconic character of Antigone through the works of Sophocles and Bertolt Brecht, tracing the origins, interpretations, and transformations that have shaped her legacy in theatre and literature.
Ikram’s book is officially available at the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF), taking place from 5 to 16 November 2025, at Hall 4, Stand No. G-1.
SPAA extends its congratulations to Ikram on this remarkable accomplishment and encourages students and faculty to visit the fair to support her and explore the rich cultural offerings of this renowned international event.
