Sharjah Performing Arts Academy (SPAA) has joined ELIA – the European League of Institutes of the Arts, an internationally recognised network that brings together leading higher education institutions dedicated to arts education, research, and artistic practice.
ELIA’s membership spans institutions across Europe and beyond, providing a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and exchange among academies, universities, and conservatoires working across the arts. Through this membership, SPAA becomes part of a global community committed to advancing excellence in arts education and fostering cross-cultural engagement.
Established in 2019, Sharjah Performing Arts Academy offers conservatoire-style education in Theatre, Musical Theatre, Dance, and Production, combining rigorous artistic training with academic study. Joining ELIA reflects SPAA’s continued commitment to international engagement, academic quality, and the development of meaningful partnerships that support students, faculty, and the wider creative sector.
As a member of ELIA, SPAA looks forward to contributing to shared initiatives, participating in international dialogue, and collaborating with like-minded institutions to further enrich arts education and creative practice.
